Teamwork in healthcare has been suggested as a mechanism to decrease burnout and increase joy in work. This course will share examples from the literature of the way that working in a team impacts joy in work. Following these examples, hear an in-depth discussion of recent findings that shed light on the way pharmacists can improve primary care providers' work-life through comprehensive medication management.
 
Learning Objectives
Upon successful completion of this knowledge-based CPE activity, participants should be able to:
1. Recognize the benefits of improving joy in work and reducing burnout in health care.
2. Describe how teamwork has been shown to improve joy in work.
3. Summarize a case of teamwork impact on joy in work:  primary care providers working with pharmacists who provide comprehensive medication management.
4. Formulate ways that an individual pharmacist’s or pharmacy technician’s practice may impact provider work-life.
