The course will provide an overview of HIV Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP). Hear experiences and insights in implementing two PrEP services - clinic-based and telemedicine - focusing on LGBTQ and rural populations in Iowa.
Learning Objectives
Upon successful completion of this knowledge-based CPE activity, participants should be able to:
1. Perform an HIV risk assessment and pre-PrEP (pre-exposure risk prophylaxis) evaluation.
2. Review HIV PrEP contraindications.
3. Discuss appropriate laboratory and clinical follow-up for patients on PrEP.
