This course will explore the current landscape of rural healthcare in the United States as well as opportunities for rural practice pharmacists to collaborate as members of the interprofessional team. Join us to explore educational competencies for aspiring rural pharmacy practitioners and how they translated to development of a rural pharmacy practice program at the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Pharmacy.
Learning Objectives
Upon successful completion of this knowledge-based CPE activity, participants should be able to:
1. Evaluate the current landscape of rural healthcare.
2. Discuss the intersection between rural pharmacy practice and public health.  
3. Describe how rural practice pharmacists are uniquely positioned to make a positive impact.
4. Explore competencies to facilitate a well-rounded skill-set in rural pharmacy practice.
